Amnicon River log home.

When you step through the foyer door not only are you greeted by the warmth of the logs, and beautiful detailing but you are also looking out to the river and a spectacular panorama of water, trees, and wildlife.

The home was newly constructed when I was contacted to help with finishing touches, wallpaper, window coverings, furnishings and accessories. The color palette and major details were already in place. The teal carpet was our basis for the color scheme for the main level and balcony since everything is open. Casual plaids, paisleys and textures were mixed with large comfy upholstered pieces. A special piece was needed as a focal point between the windows. I designed a piece I call a Rustic Step Back Cabinet. Hickory with the bark on was used for some tables and chairs to add contrast of color and texture with the logs. Many of the light fixtures are made of rusted iron with pine cone details and amber mica shades to further enhance the warm glow. The clients have many collections of quilts, taxidermy and art to enhance and accessorize their home.
