 Farm Lake – Shingle style Cottage
This project was about mid way along when the client contacted me. This is a wonderful shingle style cottage design. It has a red front door, red and green trim, stone foundation, window boxes, traditional screen porch and delightful flower gardens. The client had been collecting pictures and ideas for years in preparation for building their dream retirement home. She is also a collector of primitive antiques, rustic accessories and red and white pottery to name just a few things.
I was contacted to help pull all the interior details together. I also planned the room layouts, all the furniture, custom furniture and a few other tricky details.
This was a fun project, because the client’s tastes and mine were very much the same. We also had a great builder and construction crew to work with. This home was also on the Bare Bones Studio 2000 Home Tour.
